My signature School Education Series Program, Empowered Wellbeing for Success®, is a student curriculum and FREE faculty mentoring program (think professional development) designed to empower students and faculty for success at school and in life. There are over 20 detailed lesson plans describing how to practice the different techniques needed for success. Teachers get a FREE, guided program to help with what is often a stressful work life. The video lessons help teachers implement the student curriculum, which requires about two minutes of class time. The more the students practice the techniques throughout the day, the more positive effects will be seen and experienced.

Empowered Wellbeing for Success® School Education Series is for your school if you want a school year free of faculty burnout, disengaged and behavior challenged students, an ongoing school culture of success and if you don’t want the extra expense of hiring someone to deliver a separate Wellbeing program.

How my program is different

I COACH FACULTY IN MINDSET.  I boost the self-confidence and self-esteem of the teachers because success requires a mind-shift. I’ll guide faculty through short weekly videos on how to direct and teach students throughout all the lessons. I’ll also show them how to incorporate the basics from Deepak Chopra’s Seven Spiritual (think Principles) Laws of Success techniques into their work and personal lives for long-lasting, sustainable success.

I SHOW YOU HOW.  In the weekly videos, I’ll explain the already detailed lesson plans in the curriculum and demonstrate how to practice the techniques with students for maximum benefit and success for both students and faculty.

I HOLD YOUR HAND.  During the program, I’m your biggest supporter and trusted confidante. I’ll be there to support the faculty during the six-week program. Faculty will also have access to my private Facebook group, where they’ll receive support from the community and me, too.

I’M YOUR PARTNER!  Think of me as more than a coach. While you’re implementing my program, I’ll act as your business partner. I keep your faculty at the top of my mind and truly take a vested interest in their success with the program.

After working with me, students and faculty will:

  1. Practice and learn five breath techniques they can use before testing, presentations or any stressful situation in daily life to allow for better outcomes.
  2. Experience five mindfulness techniques designed to reduce stress and encourage creativity, one-pointed focus and more.
  3. Practice various movement poses based in yoga principles specifically chosen and taught for an in-class experience, which are associated with reducing stress hormones and calming the body.
  4. Learn how to integrate the different techniques to provide an all-round Wellbeing curriculum and experience that will make positive changes in faculty and students and leave you, the administrator, with peace of mind.
  5. Be able to teach the techniques to each other. Faculty will be able to expand on all lessons with the lesson extensions for community building.

After enrolling in Empowered Wellbeing for Success® School Education Series, each faculty member will receive weekly, detailed lesson plans. (Please note, there are different options as regards how to implement the curriculum into your school – each school’s needs are taken into account before a schedule is decided upon.)

There will be a weekly link to each video training lesson. The videos will show the teacher how to present the new Empowered Wellbeing Technique’s lesson. Teachers will be equipped with the necessary tools to guide the students.

Empowered Wellbeing for Success® Facebook Group: Teachers will have access to this intimate and exclusive FB Group. This is where others and I will be interacting with teachers throughout the course. They’ll receive support, celebration and feedback from other faculty participants, too.

CURRICULUM

Week 1
Breath, Mindfulness & Affirmation Techniques
Yoga Pose: Grounding and Calming

  • Breathing Technique focusing on Deep Abdominal Breathing to encourage sustained diaphragmatic breath. To connect the mind and body, and to calm the central nervous system thereby calming both mind and body.
  • Mindfulness Technique focusing on taste to develop awareness about the value our food brings to us both physically and emotionally and to develop one-pointed focus. To respond with reflectiveness, openness, and calmness in all situations
  • Yoga Movement Technique focusing on tree pose to bring about a sense of wellbeing and quiet to the mind; to tone, strengthen and lengthen the muscles of the body. Tree pose is considered one of the foundational balance poses in yoga. Balance poses help bring grounding energy to the practitioner and are thought to calm the mind.
  • Affirmation Technique – Academics: To override negative beliefs and develop positive thoughts for success. To develop a positive attitude towards all aspects of life.

Week 2
Breath, Mindfulness & Affirmation Techniques
Yoga Pose: Calms Central Nervous System

  • Breathing Technique focusing on Alternate Nostril breathing to reduce anxiety and insomnia and foster a clear and alert mind. To connect the mind and body, and to calm the central nervous system thereby calming both the mind and body.
  • Mindfulness Technique focusing on Breath. To quiet the mind; to bring the mind to one point of focus; to take the mind from activity to stillness. To respond with reflectiveness, openness, and calmness in all situations
  • Yoga Movement Technique focusing on Seated Twist Pose. In Yoga, twist poses are used to cool, relax and detoxify the body. Twist poses lengthen the spine, calm the central nervous system, massage the kidneys and liver and in the seated twist pose lengthens the muscles around the chest, ribs and shoulders.
  • Affirmation Technique – Personal Relationships: To override negative beliefs and develop positive thoughts for success. To develop a positive attitude towards all aspects of life.

Week 3
Breath, Mindfulness & Affirmation Techniques
Yoga Pose: Reduces Stress, Relieves Tension and Much More!

  • Breathing Technique focusing on Complete Breath to develop trust and the ability to connect with others appropriately. To connect the mind and body, and calm the central nervous system thereby calming both the mind and body.
  • Mindfulness Technique focusing on Sounds. To quiet the mind; to bring the mind to one point of focus; to take the mind from activity to stillness. To respond with reflectiveness, openness, and calmness in all situations.
  • Yoga Movement Technique focusing on Forward Bends. In Yoga Forward Bends are believed to have the following benefits: stretch the hips, hamstrings, and calves, and strengthen the thighs and knees and keep the spine strong and flexible. Reduces stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue and calms the mind, while relieving tension in the spine neck and back. These bends also activate the abdominal muscles. Added benefits include stretching. Massaging the kidneys and adrenal glands are also stimulated, so these poses are thought to have benefits for those experiencing adrenal fatigue and for those with high cortisol levels.
  • Affirmation Technique – Behavior/Self-Regulation: To override negative beliefs and develop positive thoughts for success. To develop a positive attitude towards all aspects of life.

Week 4
Breath, Mindfulness & Affirmation Techniques
Yoga Pose: Strength and Courage with Grounding

  • Breathing Technique focusing on Synchronized Breath to practice staying relaxed while being challenged. To connect the mind and body, and calm the central nervous system thereby calming both the mind and body.
  • Mindfulness Technique focusing on Gaze. To quiet the mind; to bring the mind to one point of focus; to take the mind from activity to stillness. To respond with reflectiveness, openness, and calmness in all situations.
  • Yoga Movement Technique focusing on Warrior I and Warrior II poses. All Warrior poses are strengthening, grounding and energizing and will be used to explain living in the present while learning from the past, letting past experiences go and understanding how this affects the future.
  • Visualization Technique – Calm: To create a positive, desired outcome for goals or life dreams. To achieve success and desired outcomes in all aspects of life.

Week 5
Breath, Mindfulness & Affirmation Techniques
Yoga Pose: Further Experience with Strength and Courage with Grounding

  • Breathing Technique focusing on Bellows Breath to energize and invigorate the body. To connect the mind and body and to invigorate the central nervous system thereby invigorating both the mind and body.
  • Mindfulness Technique focusing on Geometrically Designed Pictures. To quiet the mind; to bring the mind to one point of focus; to take the mind from activity to stillness. To respond with reflectiveness, openness, and calmness in all situations.
  • Yoga Movement Technique focusing on Warrior III and Reverse Warrior poses. All Warrior poses are strengthening, grounding and energizing and will be used to explain living in the present while learning from the past, letting past experiences go and understanding how this affects the future.
  • Visualization Technique – Courageous/Confident/Successful: To create a positive, desired outcome for goals or life dreams. To achieve success and desired outcomes in all aspects of life.

Week 6
Integration of Empowerment Techniques for the rest of the school year:  ultimate stress reduction, academic, emotional, social, and physical strength, courage and success!!

  • How to use the breathing techniques for tests, presentations, focus and positive behavior.
  • How to use the five mindfulness techniques for tests, presentations, focus and positive behavior.
  • How to use the yoga movement techniques for success with testing, presentations, focus and positive behavior.
  • Using and creating personalized affirmations and visualizations for continued success.
